EMORY, VA – The Wingate University Bulldogs asserted their dominance on the football field, forcing four crucial turnovers on Saturday afternoon, resulting in a resounding 31-10 victory over Emory & Henry College in a South Atlantic Conference matchup. With this victory, Wingate's overall record rises to 2-2, including a 1-1 SAC standing, while the Emory & Henry Wasps drop to a 2-2 overall record and a 0-2 record in league play.
In a game marked by standout defensive plays and offensive efficiency, the Bulldogs showcased their prowess. Key stats from the game include Wingate accumulating 182 passing yards and 122 rushing yards, totaling 304 yards, while their defense held the Wasps to just 108 passing yards and 66 rushing yards, for a total of 174 yards. The Bulldogs exhibited their defensive prowess with six sacks, three interceptions, and a fumble recovery.
