GREENSBORO - The North Carolina A&T Aggies defeated the Elon Phoenix 24-21 on Saturday night to open their 2019 season with a win in dramatic fashion. With one second remaining on the clock, Aggies head coach Sam Washington sent his kicker, Noel Ruiz, out to try a 52-yard field goal to win the game. Ruiz, who had missed twice earlier in the fourth quarter, was good on the kick and the Aggies moved to 1-0 on the season.
