BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Gardner-Webb announced its
2015 football schedule, an 11-game slate that features six home dates.
The Runnin’ Bulldogs open the season at Sun Belt Conference
member South Alabama, playing the Jaguars at historic Ladd-Peebles Stadium in
Mobile, Ala., on September 5.
Gardner-Webb will host Elon on September 12, beginning a
home-and-home series with the Phoenix in Spangler Stadium. The two programs
last met on the gridiron in 2002 – the Big South’s inaugural football season.
The Runnin’ Bulldogs will also play host to Brevard (9/26)
and ETSU (11/14) in non-conference action, as well as welcoming Big South
opponents Liberty (10/10), Charleston Southern (10/24) and Monmouth (11/21) to
Boiling Springs.
In addition to the South Alabama road trip, GWU will visit
Wofford (9/19), Kennesaw State (10/17), Presbyterian (10/31) and Coastal
Carolina (11/7).
Game times will be announced at a later date.
